Description
This is the Talu recessed downlight, a fixed-position ceiling fitting that accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp. The bulb is not included, so you can pair it with whatever GU10 output and tone suits the room. It takes a lamp rated up to 10W, and the twist-lock cap holds the bulb securely in place once fitted.
The round trim drops into a 60mm cut-out and sits close to the ceiling face, with an overall diameter of 84mm and a shallow 30mm depth that suits ceilings with limited void above. Its IP44 rating means it copes with splashes and humidity, so it works in a bathroom ceiling within the correct zone, a kitchen, a covered porch or a utility area, as well as general indoor rooms. The fixed position gives an even, downward wash, so plan a regular grid across the ceiling for consistent coverage.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, which helps the trim recede against darker ceilings or stand out as a deliberate detail against pale plaster. Installation is a straightforward recessed fit into the cut-out, with spring clips gripping the ceiling board. Choose a GU10 lamp to match the brightness and colour you want; dimming depends entirely on the bulb you select.

Frequently Asked
Is a bulb included?
No, the fitting is supplied without a lamp. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock bulb rated up to 10W, bought separately so you can choose your preferred brightness and tone.
What size cut-out do I need?
The downlight drops into a 60mm cut-out in the ceiling. Its overall trim diameter is 84mm and it sits 30mm deep, so check you have clearance in the ceiling void before cutting.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Yes, the IP44 rating means it resists splashes and humidity, so it suits a bathroom ceiling within the appropriate zone, as well as kitchens, covered porches and utility spaces.
Can it be tilted to angle the light?
No, this is a fixed-position downlight, so it directs light straight down. For an angled or directional beam you would need an adjustable spotlight fitting instead.
