The Gronanne is a square LED ground light with a brushed stainless steel face plate and a round satin glass diffuser in white, held by four screws. It measures 10cm long and 10cm wide, and a black cylindrical housing sits beneath the plate, out of sight once it is set into the ground. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 2.5W and giving 230 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. It carries IP65 and IP67 ratings, which means it is sealed against dust, jets of water and brief immersion, so it can live outdoors all year, set into decking or a garden path.

We see it most at home along a decking walkway, at the edge of a patio or marking the line of a garden path, where a low glow shows the way after dark without lighting the whole garden. At 230 lumens it is a marker light rather than a floodlight, gentle enough to sit beside a bench or a dining table. It takes a load of up to 500kg, so people can walk across it, and it suits anyone who wants steps and edges picked out at night by a low, flat fitting that barely rises above the surface.

It runs from a 220-230V, 50/60Hz supply and has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall, and it is not dimmable. The LEDs are part of the light itself, so there is no bulb to change. As a wired-in light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download.
