Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch rocker cover is a replacement component for modular grid switch systems, finished in smoked bronze. The cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the faceplate, and is constructed from ABS plastic with an internal steel spring mechanism that clips onto the switch module beneath.

Designed for use with Knightsbridge's modular grid wiring accessories, the rocker cover allows individual switch modules to be replaced without changing the entire grid plate assembly. The smoked bronze finish provides a warm metallic accent that coordinates with other smoked bronze grid components in the same range, allowing multi-gang grid plates to maintain a consistent finish across light switches, dimmer modules and other control functions.

The cover clips directly onto compatible Knightsbridge grid switch modules and can be removed by gently prising from the bottom edge with a flat tool. This allows switches to be redecorated around or updated to a different finish colour without rewiring the back box. The ABS construction resists everyday wear and the smoked bronze coating is applied over the plastic rather than electroplated, giving a consistent colour that does not chip or flake under normal domestic use.

Which grid switch modules does this cover fit?

This rocker cover fits Knightsbridge's standard modular grid switch modules, including single-pole, intermediate and two-way switching modules. It does not fit dimmer modules or other non-switch grid components.

Can I mix finishes on the same grid plate?

Yes. Each rocker cover is sold separately, allowing different finish colours to be mixed on multi-gang grid plates. However, most installations use a single finish across all modules on a plate for visual consistency.

How is the rocker removed for replacement?

Insert a flat tool (small screwdriver or credit card edge) at the bottom of the rocker and gently prise upwards. The cover will unclip from the switch module beneath. Replacement covers clip back onto the same module without tools.
