Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker marked 'WASHING MACHINE' in raised lettering on a smoked bronze finish. The cover clips onto Knightsbridge modular grid switch mechanisms, replacing a blank or differently-marked rocker to identify a dedicated washing machine outlet. Constructed from ABS plastic with a steel backing plate, the rocker measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the grid faceplate.

Designed for use in utility rooms, kitchens and laundry areas where appliance-dedicated circuits need clear labelling for safety or compliance, the cover fits Knightsbridge grid systems including the Screwless Flat Plate, Grid Metal Clad and Grid Select ranges. Installation requires no tools or additional wiring — the existing rocker is unclipped from the switch mechanism and the new marked cover clips on in its place.

The smoked bronze finish provides a dark metallic tone that complements warm metallic and industrial interiors, sitting between matt black and brushed bronze on the colour spectrum. The raised lettering remains readable under kitchen lighting without requiring additional contrast. The IP20 rating limits use to dry internal locations only — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor areas or locations exposed to water ingress.

This rocker fits all Knightsbridge modular grid switch mechanisms across the Screwless Flat Plate, Grid Metal Clad and Grid Select ranges. It does not fit standard single-gang or multi-gang switches — only modular grid systems.

Can this be fitted to an existing switch without rewiring?

Yes. The cover clips onto the existing switch mechanism, replacing the current rocker. No tools or electrical work are needed — the old rocker unclips and the new one clips on.

What other appliance markings are available?

Is this suitable for bathroom use?
