Description

The Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker engraved with 'WASHING MACHINE' in a brushed brass finish. The cover measures 33mm tall by 16mm wide and clips onto Knightsbridge modular grid switch modules in place of the standard blank rocker, allowing specific appliances to be identified at the outlet without relying on memory or labelling tape.

Designed for utility rooms, kitchens and appliance cupboards where multiple hard-wired appliances share a bank of isolator switches, the engraved designation removes guesswork when switching off a washing machine for maintenance or when leaving the property. The cover fits into Knightsbridge's modular grid system, which allows multiple switch modules to be combined into a single faceplate — common configurations include 2-gang, 3-gang and 4-gang grids controlling different appliances.

The brushed brass finish shows horizontal grain lines that soften reflections and pair well with warm-toned brass taps, cabinet handles and traditional kitchen fittings. The ABS and steel construction gives the rocker structural rigidity while keeping the weight low enough not to affect the switch mechanism behind it. The 6.8mm projection sits flush with the standard grid faceplate depth once installed.

What is this compatible with?

This rocker cover fits Knightsbridge modular grid switch modules. It replaces the standard blank rocker on a grid switch module within a grid faceplate system. It is not compatible with standard non-grid switches.

Can I fit this myself?

Yes. The rocker cover clips onto the existing switch module without requiring any wiring work. Simply remove the existing rocker by pulling it away from the module, then clip the new engraved cover into place.
