Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker cap pre-printed with the word 'Microwave', designed to clip onto standard grid rocker switch modules. The polished chrome finish matches Knightsbridge's Grid Plus modular wiring accessories range, allowing appliance circuits to be labelled directly on the switch plate rather than with adhesive labels or separate legends.

The cover is used in kitchens, utility rooms and commercial prep areas where multiple appliances are controlled from a single grid plate and visual identification prevents confusion. The rocker removes and replaces without tools — press the top and bottom edges simultaneously to release the existing cover, then clip the new cover onto the same module. This allows designation changes when appliances are relocated or replaced without rewiring the switch module itself.

Constructed from ABS plastic with a steel spring clip mechanism, the cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the grid module face. The polished chrome plating provides a reflective metallic finish that coordinates with polished chrome grid frames, faceplates and other grid accessories in the same installation. The IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations.

This cover fits Knightsbridge Grid Plus rocker switch modules, including 10AX and 20AX intermediate, single-pole and double-pole switches. It does not fit older Grid or MK-style grid systems — check compatibility before ordering if mixing brands.

How is the cover removed and replaced?

Press the top and bottom edges of the existing rocker simultaneously to release the spring clips, then lift the cover away from the module. Align the new cover over the module and press firmly until the clips engage with an audible click. No tools are required.
