Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker marked 'Fan Boost' in polished chrome finish, designed for modular grid switch systems. The rocker measures 33mm high by 16mm wide and clips onto existing grid switch mechanisms, allowing pre-installed switches to be relabelled without rewiring or replacing the entire unit.

Designed for bathroom extractor fan controls, the 'Fan Boost' marking identifies the switch that activates a higher extraction speed or timed boost function on compatible fan units. The rocker is particularly useful in bathrooms fitted with humidity-sensing extractors that run continuously at low speed but need a manual boost for showers or baths. The polished chrome finish coordinates with grid plates in the same series.

The rocker is constructed from ABS plastic with a steel internal spring mechanism and a polished chrome-plated face. The 6.8mm projection from the grid plate is identical to standard Knightsbridge grid rockers, so it sits flush with unmarked switches in the same plate. The rocker carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use and is backed by a 25-year warranty.

Is this compatible with all grid switch systems?

This rocker is designed for Knightsbridge modular grid switch systems. It clips onto the switch mechanism behind a grid plate and is not compatible with standard screw-fixed rocker switches or other manufacturers' grid systems.

Can the rocker be removed and replaced again?

Yes. The rocker clips onto the switch mechanism and can be removed by gently prising it off from the sides. This allows grid switches to be relabelled as room usage changes without replacing the underlying mechanism.
