Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is pre-marked with 'FAN' in white text on an anthracite ABS face. The cover clips onto standard Knightsbridge grid rocker modules, replacing the blank rocker supplied with the switch to provide clear identification of which appliance or circuit the switch controls.

Designed for kitchens, utility rooms and commercial spaces where multiple grid switches control dedicated appliances — extractor fans, ceiling fans, ventilation systems — the pre-printed label eliminates guesswork and reduces the chance of switching off the wrong circuit. The cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide, fitting standard single-module grid rockers in the Knightsbridge grid range.

The anthracite finish matches Knightsbridge's anthracite grid faceplates and module frames, creating a coordinated installation when paired with other anthracite grid accessories. The ABS construction with steel internal spring gives the rocker a tactile click when pressed, and the IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations. The cover can be removed and swapped for a different designation at any time without rewiring the module.

What switches does this cover fit?

The cover fits Knightsbridge grid rocker modules — standard single-module switches in the grid range. It does not fit conventional plate switches or other manufacturers' grid systems.

Can the cover be changed after installation?

Yes. The rocker cover clips onto the front of the grid module and can be removed and swapped for a different pre-marked cover at any time without touching the wiring or removing the faceplate.

What other designations are available?

Knightsbridge produces grid switch covers marked with common appliance labels including Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Cooker, Immersion, Boiler, and blank covers. Use the search function to find other covers in stock at Niori.

Is it suitable for bathroom fan switches?

The IP20 rating means the cover is suitable for dry indoor locations only. For bathroom installations, the grid module and faceplate must be positioned outside spray zones (typically outside Zone 2, at least 600mm from a bath or shower), where IP20-rated accessories are acceptable under BS 7671 wiring regulations.
