Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker for 16mm modular grid switches, marked 'BOILER' in embossed text on a smoked bronze finish. The cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the grid plate, fitting Knightsbridge's modular grid system where individual switches, sockets and dimmers are configured on a shared metal faceplate.

Designed for boiler isolator switches in kitchens, utility rooms and plant rooms, the pre-marked cover allows a boiler switch to be identified at a glance on a multi-gang grid plate without needing separate labelling. The smoked bronze finish provides a mid-tone metallic appearance that sits between polished brass and gunmetal, pairing well with warm-toned interiors and traditional kitchen cabinetry.

The cover is constructed from ABS plastic with a steel internal spring mechanism that clips onto the grid switch module beneath. Replacement is tool-free — the existing rocker simply pulls off the module and the new marked cover clips on in its place. The IP20 rating indicates the cover is suitable for dry indoor locations only, not bathroom zones or outdoor use.

This cover fits Knightsbridge's 16mm modular grid switch modules. It will not fit standard single or double gang switches — it is specifically for grid systems where multiple modules share a common faceplate.

How is the cover replaced?

The rocker cover pulls off the grid switch module by hand — no tools required. The new cover clips back onto the same module using the internal steel spring clip. The grid module itself remains wired in place.
