Description

The Gosmelle is a slim, round LED downlight that mounts directly onto the ceiling, measuring 21.1cm across and just 2.5cm deep. Its steel body has a brushed satin nickel finish, framing a white plastic diffuser that softens the light across its whole face. The LED is integrated, drawing 11.5W and giving out 1,550lm, so there is no bulb to source or replace. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

Because it sits so close to the ceiling, it suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, living rooms and home offices, and it is especially useful where a low ceiling leaves no room for a hanging pendant. The colour temperature is adjustable between three settings: 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow in the evening, 4000K for a neutral white that keeps a study or dressing room feeling clear, and 6500K for a crisp daylight white when you want to see fine detail. That gives one fitting three distinct moods rather than a single fixed tone. The satin nickel rim sits comfortably alongside chrome, steel and grey schemes, and the white diffuser blends quietly into a white ceiling.

The light is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it is controlled from the wall switch like any other ceiling light. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a wired-in light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them ahead of the job. Its energy class is E, and it weighs 0.63KG packed.
