Description

The Golbelle is a rectangular LED outdoor wall light, an anthracite aluminium body framing a white plastic diffuser. It measures 22cm wide, 11cm high and 9cm deep, a compact, low profile box with softly rounded corners that sits neatly against a house wall. Its integrated LED draws 10.5W and gives 1,200lm at 4000K, a clear neutral white, so there is no bulb to fit. Light passes through the front panel and a narrow strip of diffuser along the underside, which washes light down the wall. It is rated IP54, protected against dust and splashing water, so it lives outdoors on an exterior wall.

We would put it beside a front or back door, at the side of a garage, on a porch or along a garden wall, anywhere a clear light helps you find your keys or see the step. At 1,200lm it gives a generous, even light for a doorway or a path, and the neutral white looks crisp and clear against brick, render and stone. The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey that sits quietly on most exterior walls and looks at home beside dark window frames and doors. It suits anyone who wants a simple, modern outdoor wall light that does its job without fuss.

The body is aluminium, and aluminium is light and does not rust, which suits a fitting that lives on an exterior wall. The white plastic diffuser spreads the LED's light evenly and softens any glare. There is no switch or dimmer on the light itself: it is not dimmable and is turned on and off from a wall switch, so decide where that switch will sit before the work starts. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Packed, it weighs 0.545KG. The installation instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read them before fitting begins.
