The Globe is a 270mm square flush ceiling light with four opal glass globes set in a polished chrome backplate, rated IP44 for bathroom zone two installation. Each globe houses a G9 capsule bulb behind opal white glass that diffuses the light output, softening glare and creating even ambient illumination across the ceiling surface. The four globes are arranged in a 2x2 grid, giving the fitting a balanced, geometric appearance.

Designed for bathrooms where ceiling height is limited or where a low-profile fitting is preferred, the Globe projects 100mm from the ceiling and suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.1m or above. The IP44 rating allows safe installation above washbasins, in passage areas between a shower and door, or in central ceiling positions outside the immediate shower zone. The polished chrome frame pairs with modern sanitaryware, glass shower screens and chrome taps, while the opal glass keeps the light soft enough for early-morning use without harsh reflections on mirrors.

The fitting weighs 2.6kg and is supplied with four G9 bulbs rated up to 40W each (160W total load). Dimmable G9 LED bulbs can be fitted to make the light adjustable, though dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer pairing. The opal glass is bonded into the chrome frame, so the globes do not require individual removal for cleaning — a damp microfibre cloth on the glass surface is sufficient for regular maintenance.

What bathroom zones is this light rated for?

The IP44 rating makes the Globe suitable for bathroom zone two, which covers areas outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure. This includes above washbasins, central ceiling positions, and passage areas. It is not rated for zone one (directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle).

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. Four G9 capsule bulbs rated up to 40W each are supplied with the fitting. These can be replaced with dimmable G9 LED bulbs if you wish to reduce power consumption or add dimming capability.

Can it be dimmed?

How is the opal glass cleaned?
