Description

The Globe is a 3 light bar spotlight with frosted glass orbs mounted on adjustable polished chrome arms, rated IP44 for bathroom installation. Each of the three G9 lamp holders sits inside a 100mm diameter frosted glass globe, and each head tilts 90° and rotates 350° independently, allowing light to be directed onto mirrors, into shower areas, or across wall surfaces.

Designed for bathrooms where both task lighting and ambient diffusion are needed, the Globe mounts to walls or ceilings in zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower enclosure). The IP44 rating provides protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for above-mirror placement, beside bathtubs, and on corridor walls leading into wet rooms. The bar measures approximately 550mm wide and projects 187mm from the wall when fitted, so clearance above basins and furniture should be checked before installation.

The pressed steel construction and polished chrome finish give a reflective, clean appearance that pairs with modern chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings. The frosted glass diffuses the light from each G9 bulb, softening glare and giving an even wash of light rather than hard spotlight beams. Each lamp position accepts a G9 halogen or LED bulb up to 25W (bulbs sold separately), and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers most wall and ceiling positions outside the immediate shower enclosure. It should not be fitted directly inside a shower cubicle or above a bath within the 2.25m zone directly above the water.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs, halogen or LED, with a maximum 25W per bulb. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2W and 4W for bathroom lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type. LED G9 bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs and standard halogen bulbs will not dim without flicker or damage.

Can each spotlight be adjusted independently?

Yes. Each of the three heads tilts 90° vertically and rotates 350° horizontally on its own pivot, allowing different directions for mirror lighting, ceiling wash, or downward task lighting.
