Description

The Glistis is an 80cm LED spiral pendant light built from two overlapping circular rings finished in brass, each ring housing integrated LEDs within its profile. The larger outer ring measures 800mm in diameter, while a smaller inner ring sits offset and lower, creating a sculptural double-helix form that rotates gently as it hangs. The integrated 55W LED array across both rings produces 3000K warm white light, diffused through an opal rubber strip that runs the circumference of each ring.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Glistis provides both ambient and decorative lighting. The dual-ring configuration spreads light across a wider area than single-pendant designs, making it effective over rectangular dining tables or islands up to 2m long. The 750mm PVC cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height and personal preference.

The brass finish is a warm metallic plating over the metal frame, pairing comfortably with brass cabinet hardware, warm-toned timber and both marble and composite stone surfaces. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations away from bathroom zones. The integrated LED is rated for 30,000 hours at 3000K and is not dimmable, switching is on/off only. The total weight of the fitting is approximately 3.2kg suspended from the ceiling rose, requiring secure fixing into a joist or ceiling batten.

Is the Glistis dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates on 230V mains with on/off switching only. It is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 750mm cable drop is adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The 240mm height of the rings themselves adds to the overall drop, so allow at least 2.8m ceiling height for comfortable head clearance when walking underneath.

Can the brass finish tarnish over time?

The brass finish is a plated metal coating rather than solid brass. It resists tarnishing better than raw brass but may show fingerprints or smudges during installation. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes.

What area does the light cover?

The 80cm outer ring diameter and dual-ring configuration spread light effectively over rectangular dining tables or kitchen islands up to 2m long. For larger islands or longer tables, consider pairing two Glistis fittings spaced 1.5-2m apart.
