Description

The Glistis is an 80cm dual-ring LED spiral pendant from Ideal Lux, built around two interlocking circular frames in powder-coated matt black metal. An integrated 55W LED strip runs inside both rings, concealed behind an opal rubber diffuser that delivers even 3000K warm white light across a 360-degree spread. The pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmer.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Glistis provides both ambient and architectural lighting. The two rings sit at different angles, creating a sculptural presence whether viewed from below or from the side. The 2000mm adjustable cable allows the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a dining table or kitchen worktop during installation. The matt black finish suits contemporary, industrial and Scandinavian interiors where bold geometric forms are preferred over traditional chandelier styles.

The opal rubber diffuser softens the LED output, preventing glare while maintaining brightness. At 55W the pendant delivers high output suitable for rooms up to 20-25m², making it a practical single-source solution for open-plan dining and living zones. The powder-coated metal construction and IP20 rating limit the pendant to dry indoor environments. Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when used with a compatible leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmer. Dimmer compatibility varies by manufacturer, so it's worth checking with the dimmer supplier before purchase if you plan to use a specific model.

What room size does it suit?

At 55W the Glistis delivers high output suitable for rooms up to 20-25m². The 80cm diameter makes it proportionate for dining tables 1.6-2.4m long or kitchen islands of similar length. Smaller rooms may find the pendant visually dominant.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Glistis to dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms, outdoor covered areas and any location with moisture exposure require higher IP ratings.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The 2000mm PVC cable is adjustable during installation. Excess cable can be coiled inside the ceiling rose or canopy, allowing the pendant to be set at the desired drop height between 600mm and 2000mm from the ceiling.
