The Glistenis is a 78mm square trim frame in matt black, designed to sit around the rim of a recessed downlight fitting and provide a clean finished edge to the ceiling aperture. The frame clips or screws onto compatible Ideal Lux downlight housings, concealing the rough edge of the ceiling cut-out and holding the fitting flush to the plasterwork.

Trim frames like the Glistenis are used when a downlight housing is recessed into a ceiling void but the installer or designer wants a defined edge around the light aperture rather than a bare hole. The 78mm square format suits downlights with a similar aperture dimension, and the matt black finish provides a visible border that can either contrast with white ceilings or blend into dark-painted or black ceilings. This is common in retail, hospitality and residential interiors where the ceiling grid or downlight positions are meant to be visible as part of the design.

The frame measures 78mm on each side and sits approximately flush with the ceiling surface once installed, adding minimal projection. The matt black finish is powder-coated or painted onto the metal frame, providing a low-sheen surface that does not reflect ceiling light back into the room.
