Description

The Glistenis is a 77mm diameter round trim frame designed to fit over recessed downlight fittings, providing a finished architectural edge in deep black. The frame clips or screws onto the downlight housing once the fitting is installed in the ceiling void, concealing the cut edge of the plasterboard and creating a defined border between the ceiling surface and the light aperture.

Designed for use with compatible recessed LED downlights in residential and commercial spaces, the trim serves both decorative and functional purposes. The black finish creates contrast against white or light-coloured ceilings, defining the downlight position as a deliberate design feature rather than a hidden utility. The inner profile reduces direct glare by recessing the light source slightly behind the ceiling plane, making the fitting more comfortable to view from below in hallways, offices and retail environments.

The 77mm outer diameter suits compact downlight fittings with 60-70mm apertures, typically used in lower ceilings or where multiple downlights are spaced closely along a corridor or display shelf. The black powder-coated aluminium construction maintains colour consistency under heat from the downlight and resists tarnishing over the fitting's lifetime. Installation requires no special tools — the frame either clips directly onto the downlight body or fixes with small screws depending on the downlight model.
