Description

The Glistenis is a 109mm diameter round trim frame designed to fit around recessed downlights, providing a finished edge where the fitting meets the ceiling and reducing glare by concealing the lamp recessed inside the void. The white finish is a neutral match for most residential and commercial ceiling finishes.

Installed in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and commercial spaces, the trim frame fits over the downlight housing after the main fitting has been recessed into the ceiling void. The frame sits flush with the plasterboard or plaster surface, giving a clean aperture edge that defines the light source and controls the beam angle by blocking off-axis light spill. This makes the downlight more directional and reduces the visual brightness of the lamp when viewed from oblique angles.

The white-painted metal construction holds its shape against minor ceiling movement and thermal expansion from the downlight heat output. The 109mm outer diameter is a standard size compatible with most recessed downlight housings rated for 50-75mm cutouts, though exact compatibility depends on the specific downlight model. The frame adds minimal visual projection from the ceiling plane once installed.
