Description

The Glintis is a 300mm LED bathroom mirror light with a powder-coated black cast aluminium body housing an integrated 9.5W 3000K LED behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes, making it suitable for installation above mirrors and vanities in bathrooms and wet rooms throughout zones 2 and 3.

Designed for grooming and make-up lighting, the 3000K warm white output provides even illumination across a mirror surface without harsh shadows or glare. The 70mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough to sit above a typical bathroom cabinet or recessed mirror without blocking reflection angles. The opal diffuser prevents LED hotspots and spreads light horizontally along the length of the tube.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish resists moisture and pairs cleanly with black-framed mirrors, matt black taps and contemporary monochrome bathroom schemes. The cast aluminium construction gives the fitting a solid 0.8kg weight despite its compact 300mm length, and the integrated LED removes the need to source compatible bulbs or plan for future bulb replacement. The 5-year warranty covers both the LED module and the housing.

Is the Glintis suitable for bathroom zones?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making it safe for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This covers installation above a basin, mirror or vanity unit. Do not install in zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure or above a bath) or zone 1 (directly above a bath to 2.25m height).

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at full output (9.5W) when switched on via a standard bathroom light switch.

What size mirror does it suit?

The 300mm length works best above mirrors between 400mm and 600mm wide. For wider mirrors, consider installing two Glintis fittings at equal spacing, or look at the 600mm or 900mm versions in the same range if available.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts directly to the wall via a rear-mounted backplate. The 70mm projection includes the mounting bracket and the full depth of the tube. Installation requires connection to mains 230V wiring and should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
