Description

The Glenbeigh is a 1.8m outdoor lamp post moulded from black corrosion-resistant polymer, designed to resist coastal salt air, UV degradation and impact damage. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside an opal polycarbonate globe diffuser at the top of a tapered column that rises from a hexagonal base. The IP44 rating protects the lamp holder against water spray and airborne dust.

Intended for permanent ground installation on driveways, garden paths and boundary edges, the Glenbeigh suits properties with sufficient setback from the pavement to accommodate the 1.8m height without obstruction. The opal diffuser softens direct bulb glare into a diffused ambient glow that marks pathways and entrances without creating hard shadows. The lamp post accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over light temperature and brightness to suit the garden setting.

The polymer construction offers lighter weight and greater impact resistance than cast aluminium equivalents while maintaining a traditional lamp post silhouette. The black finish hides fingerprints and weathering better than painted metal and requires no repainting over the product's lifespan. The globe diffuser is held in a metal cradle with a retention band, allowing bulb replacement without tools by lifting the globe clear of the frame. Is the IP44 rating suitable for fully exposed positions?

Yes. IP44 protects against water spray from any direction and airborne dust, making the Glenbeigh suitable for driveways, front gardens and pathways fully exposed to rain. It is not submersible and should not be installed in areas prone to flooding or standing water.

How is the globe removed for bulb replacement?

The opal globe sits in a metal cradle with a retention band. Lift the globe upwards to disengage it from the frame, replace the bulb, and lower the globe back into position. No tools are required for routine bulb changes.
