Description

The Glassis is a 112x81cm rectangular wall mirror built with a triple-layered bevelled glass frame construction. The inner mirror surface is surrounded by stepped glass borders in two tones — a darker outer frame and a lighter middle border — creating a three-dimensional architectural effect. The wood backing adds structural rigidity and allows the 14.6kg mirror to be mounted securely on standard wall fixings.

Designed for hallways, above-console positions in living rooms, and bathroom feature walls, the Glassis works in spaces where the mirror itself functions as a decorative object rather than just a reflective surface. The 112cm height suits most residential ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, while the 81cm width provides enough reflective area to open up a narrow hallway or corridor visually. The 2cm total depth includes the wood backing and projects minimally from the wall once hung.

The bevelled glass frame catches and refracts ambient light differently depending on the viewing angle and time of day, so the mirror changes appearance as you move past it or as daylight shifts through the room. The neutral grey-and-silver tones of the glass frame pair with both warm and cool interior palettes without adding colour that might clash with furnishings. The wood backing is not visible when the mirror is hung and serves only as a structural component.
