Description

The Ginger is a tall floor lamp carrying two adjustable heads on a single upright stem, standing 2115mm from a compact base. Each head tilts on its own and runs off a double switch, so the pair can be aimed and lit separately: one turned down over a reading chair, the other up the wall as a softer background wash. Lit, it gives two directed pools of light from one mains point; unlit, the black powder-coated frame reads as a slim vertical line in a corner.

Both heads take a GU10 lamp, which we supply, so it is ready to light as soon as it is plugged in. Because each runs a standard GU10 cap, the tone and beam are yours to set, and the double switch means you can run one head or both. Fit dimmable GU10 lamps on a wall dimmer to bring the level down of an evening. The tall stem lifts the upper head well above seated height, which suits it to a reading corner or the side of a sofa.

The base and frame are powder-coated metal in black, on a PVC cable with switch and plug. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms, and it arrives ready to stand and plug in with both GU10 bulbs included.

What kind of light does the Ginger give?

Two directed pools of light you can aim separately. Each of the two heads tilts on its own, so one can point down over a chair while the other washes the wall. The tone depends on the GU10 lamps you run.

Does it come with bulbs?

Yes. It is supplied with two GU10 lamps, so it works the moment it is plugged in. The GU10 caps are replaceable, so you can swap them later to change the brightness, beam angle or colour tone.

Can the two heads be switched separately?

Yes. It has a double switch for separate ignitions, so you can run one head or both. There is no dimmer on the cable, but you can dim it by fitting dimmable GU10 lamps on a compatible wall dimmer.

How big is it and where does it suit?

It stands 2115mm tall on a compact base with a 320mm footprint. That tall, twin-head shape suits a reading corner or the side of a sofa where one light can serve two jobs, in the black finish.
