Description

The Giano is a long, slim wall light: a clean rectangular bar 101.8cm long and 9.8cm tall, with a straight, unfussy profile that sits neatly against the wall. We offer it in white or black, so it can blend into a pale wall or stand out against a darker one. Its integrated LED needs no bulb and gives 2456 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. With a CRI of 90, skin tones, fabrics and paint colours look natural under it. It draws 36W or 38W, depending on the version you choose.

Its long line of light suits a living room, where one fitting along a sofa wall, or a pair either side of a chimney breast, gives a calm, even glow. In a dining room it sits well over a sideboard, and in a bedroom it works on the wall over the bed or beside a dressing table. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. Dimming comes by version. The non-dimmable version simply switches on and off, while the DALI or push dimmable version lets you lower the light through a DALI control or a push switch, which is handy for quieter evenings.

The Giano runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so it is worth settling on its position before they visit. The shape is the same simple bar whichever colour you pick: white keeps it quiet on a light wall, while black draws a crisp line across timber, plaster or a painted feature wall. When you order, choose the finish first, white or black, then the dimming, non-dimmable or DALI or push dimmable, so the fitting matches both your room and the way you control your lighting.
