Description

The Gianna is a 267mm single-light pendant combining a hand-painted gilded silver metal frame with faceted crystal prisms and scrollwork inspired by early 1900s Italian decorative metalwork. The frame forms a cage around a central E27 bulb fitting, with vertical crystal rods hung inside the cage and additional cut crystal droplets suspended from decorative scroll arms above. A faceted crystal finial hangs below the frame.

Designed for dining areas, kitchen islands, hallways and cloakrooms where a decorative pendant can hang at eye level or just above, the Gianna works either as a single statement piece or in a run of two or three pendants spaced 600-800mm apart over a longer island or table. The 425-2025mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set between 700-900mm above a worktop depending on ceiling height, with the chain concealing the cable run to the ceiling rose.

The gilded silver finish is hand-applied over the metal frame, giving a soft aged patina rather than a high-gloss metallic coating. This finish sits comfortably in both warm-toned traditional interiors and cooler grey contemporary schemes. The crystal elements refract light from the central bulb (sold separately, max 60W E27) and cast small reflections across walls and ceilings when lit, adding ambient sparkle without overwhelming smaller rooms. At 267mm diameter the pendant provides visual presence without dominating tight hallway or galley kitchen spaces.

What bulb does the Gianna take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-6W and 2700K to complement the gilded finish and show the crystal refraction clearly.

Can multiple Gianna pendants be hung in a row?

Yes. The 267mm diameter suits grouped installation over kitchen islands or dining tables. Space pendants 600-800mm apart centre-to-centre for balanced coverage without visual crowding.

How is the drop adjusted?

The 1524mm chain is adjustable during installation, allowing the pendant to be set anywhere between 425mm and 2025mm from the ceiling. Once installed the drop cannot be adjusted without removing the ceiling rose cover.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Faceted crystal can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust build-up, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal frame or using household sprays which can tarnish the gilded finish.
