Description

The Garota Hang is an outdoor pendant light with a woven shade in Ivory White, shaped as a softly flattened globe. The shade is 16cm tall and 27cm across, a compact size that sits comfortably over a small table without crowding it. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.4W and gives 416 lumens of warm 2700K light, and with a colour rendering index of 90, food, faces and planting keep their true colours. The light comes through the weave as a soft glow, and it runs at 230V.

It is rated IP66, so it suits outdoor use: hang it over a garden table, on a terrace or under a pergola, and it gives evening meals outside a warm, low light. It is just as much at home indoors, over a dining table or in a corner of a living room where a softer pool of light is wanted than a ceiling fitting gives. It plugs in, so there is no wiring in to arrange. It comes on a 3.5m cable, with its driver 40cm from the plug, which leaves plenty of reach between the shade and the socket.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene and synthetic fibre, in a Natural & White finish with the Ivory White shade. The woven form looks light and open, so a pair or a row can hang over a longer table without feeling heavy. The Garota Hang was designed by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. Before you order, measure from where it will hang to the nearest socket, and check that the 3.5m cable reaches comfortably. It comes with a European plug, so you will need a UK adaptor to use it in a UK socket. Outdoors, the plug and the adaptor must sit in a covered, weatherproof outdoor socket.
