Furaha Glass Tealight Holder - Frosted Black - Set of 3

Furaha is a set of three tealight holders, each 9cm tall and 7cm across, hand blown from recycled glass into a rounded-base cup that runs almost straight up to an open top. The rim is left uneven, dipping and rising a little on every one. The finish is an ombre: a pale mottled band of silver and gold across the upper half, darkening through rust and copper flecks into near black at the foot.

Lit, the dark lower half turns translucent and holds a warm amber patch of light where the flame sits, while the pale band above it stays opaque, so the light reads as a low glow rather than a lit column. The three are made to be spaced along a surface rather than grouped tight. At 9cm they carry that glow at one height along the run of a table or a mantelpiece, and on a dining table they sit below the line of sight across it.

The glass is recycled, collected and melted down before each holder is blown, so the thickness of the wall and the run of the ombre differ from one holder to the next and no two sets are quite alike. The three arrive in a gift box. Tealights are not included.

What candle does it take?

A tealight. It drops in through the open top and sits down inside the holder, which is why the glow sits low in the glass.

How do I remove wax from the holder?

Use warm water with a mild dish soap, dry it immediately and do not leave it to soak. A soft dry cloth keeps dust off between uses, and a microfibre cloth worked in a circular motion suits the glass.

Can they be used outdoors?

No. Indoor use only.

Does the glass get hot?

Yes. Position the candle securely and keep the flame off the side of the glass. Keep it out of reach of children, wait until it has cooled fully before handling it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
