Description

The Frame S is a low bollard light shaped as an open rectangular frame. It is 42.5cm tall and 21.5cm wide, with softly rounded edges and a hollow centre you can see through. Its integrated LED sits in a light bar under the top of the frame, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It sends its glow down into the hollow, lighting the inside of the frame and casting a softer light around its base. It gives 1350 lumens from 16.6W in a warm white 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so planting, stone and paving keep their natural colours after dark. We offer it in White, Bronze, Grey or Corten.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use. Its low height suits the edge of a lawn, a garden path, a run of steps or the side of a patio, where it marks the way at ground level. Set a pair either side of an entrance, or a line of them along a border, and the garden keeps its shape at night. White looks crisp and modern against dark walls and hedges, while Bronze, Grey and Corten sit more quietly among planting, stone and timber. It dims with a compatible phase-cut dimmer, so you can keep it low for an evening outside and bring it up when the path needs it.

It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The design is by Mario Ruiz, who kept the form to a single clean frame: a solid top, two upright sides and a base, with the light tucked out of sight beneath the top. With the LED built in, there is no lamp to replace. As it is wired in, it is worth deciding where each bollard will stand before work starts in the garden. Our photographs show the white version.
