The Frame L is a bollard light in the form of an open rectangular frame, with a bar of light set beneath its top that lights the inner faces of the frame. It stands 100cm tall and 21.5cm wide, enough presence to mark the edge of a lawn or path without crowding it. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: it draws 16.6W and gives 1350 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, so planting, stone and brick keep their true colours after dark. We offer it in White, Bronze, Grey or Corten.

Rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, the Frame L belongs in the garden: along a path, beside steps, at the edge of a terrace or lawn, or either side of a driveway entrance. At a metre tall it puts light at a useful height for finding your footing, and a run of them gives a border or route a clear, even rhythm. The open frame keeps it light to look at by day, when it reads as a sculptural shape among the planting. White suits a bright, modern scheme, Bronze and Grey sit quietly against stone and dark walls, and Corten brings a warm, earthy tone that settles into greenery.

The Frame L is a design by Mario Ruiz: one clean rectangle with a single bar of light, which sits as comfortably beside a contemporary home as a traditional one. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. It is dimmable with a compatible phase-cut dimmer, letting you keep a low glow for evenings outside and turn it up when the path needs it.
