The Folcino is a smart pendant light made of two bent bronze arms that hang on fine wires from a slim black ceiling canopy. The body is aluminium and steel in a bronze and black finish. It measures 64cm long, 43.5cm wide and 110cm high overall. The light source is integrated LED, with two 18W lights giving 1,860 lumens each, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We think it suits a kitchen island or a dining table best, where the long bronze arms bring the light down close to where you cook and eat. The two arms can be arranged as a cross, a closed square or an offset line, so you can match the shape to your table or worktop. It gives colour changing RGB light and an adjustable colour temperature from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K. That lets one pendant give clear white light for cooking and homework, then soft colour for a relaxed dinner with friends. It suits anyone who wants a single smart fitting to set the mood of a kitchen or dining room without adding lamps.

It is dimmable and controlled by app, so you can set the brightness, the colour and the colour temperature from wherever you sit. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately rather than in the box. There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, and because it is wired in to the mains it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The light shines through a white plastic diffuser along the underside of each arm, and it weighs 4.055KG packed. The installation instructions come as a PDF download, so your electrician can read them beforehand.
