Description

The Focus S is a single-phase track spotlight with a cylindrical aluminium body finished in black with a matte gold inner reflector, designed to mount onto single-phase track systems via a flat, concealed bus bar adapter. The spotlight head rotates 360° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on a friction-fit swivel joint, allowing light to be directed at ceiling, wall or floor level without re-positioning the track itself.

Designed for retail, hospitality and residential gallery lighting, the Focus S suits applications where accent lighting needs to be adjusted over time — highlighting artwork, retail displays, or architectural features. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose beam angle, colour temperature and brightness for the specific application. The recessed light source sits behind the bezel, reducing direct glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions.

The black outer body absorbs ambient light and recedes visually when the spotlight is switched off, while the matte gold inner reflector warms the tone of the emitted light slightly and provides a visual accent when viewed from below or at close range. The aluminium construction keeps the weight to approximately 150g per spotlight, allowing multiple units to be fitted to a single track run without structural concerns. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments.

What track system does the Focus S fit?

The Focus S is designed for single-phase track systems with a flat bus bar profile. The adapter clips into the track and the spotlight twists to lock in place. It is not compatible with three-phase or two-circuit track systems.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED in either narrow beam (24°-36°) for accent lighting or wide beam (60°-100°) for general wash lighting.

Can the spotlight be adjusted once fitted?

Yes. The head rotates 360° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on a friction-fit joint, allowing the light direction to be changed without removing the spotlight from the track. The friction is adjustable via a small set screw on the joint.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments. For bathroom or outdoor track lighting, an IP44 or higher rated spotlight is required.
