Description

The Focus is a 12W LED track spotlight built around a cylindrical black aluminium body housing an integrated 3000K warm white LED. The spotlight clips onto single-phase track systems and rotates on a ball joint, allowing the beam to be angled towards artwork, shelving, worktops or architectural features. The recessed LED sits behind a shaped lens designed to reduce glare and keep the UGR (Unified Glare Rating) below uncomfortable levels.

Designed for kitchens, retail displays, galleries and living spaces where directed accent lighting is needed, the Focus pairs with standard single-phase track rails from Maytoni and most third-party systems using the Unity adapter format. The 12W output is typically used to highlight 1-2m² zones at close range (1.5-2.5m ceiling height) or to create wash light on feature walls. The spotlight is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer on the mains circuit, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output down to approximately 10%.

The aluminium body measures 15.8cm tall and 5.2cm in diameter, giving the spotlight a compact profile on the track without dominating the ceiling line. The 90 CRI rating means reds, greens and skin tones render accurately under the light, which matters when lighting food preparation areas, retail merchandise or artwork. The black finish is a low-sheen powder coat that absorbs reflections and pairs with both matte black and gloss black track rails.

Is this spotlight dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 12W LED is dimmable when connected to a compatible LED dimmer switch on the mains circuit. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific model — trailing-edge dimmers typically perform better with LED track lighting than leading-edge types.

What track system does it fit?

The Focus uses the Unity single-phase track adapter format, which fits Maytoni single-phase track rails and most third-party single-phase systems. It does not fit three-circuit or two-circuit track without an adapter.

What beam angle does it produce?

Maytoni does not publish the exact beam angle for the Focus in the specification sheet, but the cylindrical body and recessed lens typically produce a focused beam between 24-36 degrees, suitable for accent lighting rather than general room illumination.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the spotlight is not protected against moisture ingress and should only be installed in dry indoor environments. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where IP44 or higher is required.
