Description

The Fly is a round ceiling light shaped as a shallow black disc that sits flat against the ceiling rather than hanging below it. Light comes from an integrated LED behind an opal diffuser, so the whole face reads as one even glare-free circle of warm 2700K white against the dark rim instead of a hard beam. Unlit, it holds its form as a plain matt disc only 80mm deep, keeping the ceiling flat and clear of any drop.

This is the middle of three Fly sizes at 600mm across, giving 5300 lumens from a 53W LED with a high CRI above 90, so colours in the room stay true. At 80mm deep it suits a living room, kitchen, dining room or wider hallway where the aim is a bright flat main light with full headroom kept below.

The body is aluminium in a black finish, closed by an opal diffuser, rated IP40 for dry indoor rooms. Its driver is built in and the LED is rated near 50,000 hours, so nothing needs buying or changing after fitting. We supply it as a plain on/off ceiling light wired straight to the mains; there is also a separate dimmable driver if output control matters.

What kind of light does the Fly give?

A soft even wash of warm 2700K white. The integrated LED sits behind an opal diffuser and fills the disc face evenly, so light spreads across the room without a harsh central point. With a CRI above 90, colours look true.

Does it need bulbs?

No. The Fly runs on an integrated 53W LED giving 5300 lumens, so the source is built in and included. There are no lamps to fit, and the diode is rated for around 50,000 hours of use.

Can it be dimmed?

As supplied it is a plain on/off fitting and not dimmable straight away. The Fly also comes with a separate 1-10V, push or DALI driver, so if you want to lower the output we can advise on that version.

Where does it suit best?

At 600mm wide and only 80mm deep, this middle size works as the main light over a living room, kitchen or dining table, giving broad even brightness while leaving headroom clear.
