Description
The Flux is a 1200mm linear LED pendant light finished in white metal, housing an integrated 32W LED module that delivers 4000K neutral white light. The single-piece aluminium profile measures 95mm in height and projects 20mm from front to back, giving a slim rectangular cross-section that sits unobtrusively in contemporary spaces. The LED module runs the full 1200mm length of the profile, providing even distribution of light along the bar.
Designed for office desks, kitchen islands, and open-plan workspaces, the Flux delivers task lighting at 4000K, a neutral white that reduces eye strain during screen work and detailed tasks without the cooler blue tone of 5000K+ commercial lighting. The unit is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or DALI dimmer, allowing output to be reduced for ambient lighting in the evening or increased to full brightness during work hours. The suspension cable adjusts on installation to set the drop between the ceiling rose and the light bar.
The white powder-coated finish on the aluminium profile provides a matte surface that minimises glare and pairs with white ceilings to reduce visual clutter in minimalist interiors. At 1200mm, the Flux suits single desks, small kitchen islands up to 1500mm wide, or cluster installations above longer worktops. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations, it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. Ideal Lux manufactures the Flux in Italy and backs it with a 5-year warranty covering LED module failure and driver faults.

Frequently Asked
Is the Flux dimmable?
Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when used with a compatible trailing-edge or DALI dimmer. Check dimmer compatibility before installation, not all dimmers work reliably with LED drivers, and mismatched combinations can cause flickering or humming.
What is 4000K colour temperature?
4000K is a neutral white light, cooler than the warm 2700K-3000K used in living rooms, but warmer than the 5000K+ daylight white found in hospital and commercial settings. It reduces eye strain during screen work and detailed tasks without feeling sterile.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Flux is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It lacks the moisture protection required for bathroom zones and would fail if exposed to steam or direct water contact.
What length kitchen island does it suit?
At 1200mm, the Flux works above kitchen islands up to approximately 1500mm wide when centred. For longer islands, consider installing two Flux units in a row or choosing the longer variant if Ideal Lux offers one in this range.
