Description

The BS-2 is a replacement glow starter for legacy fluorescent fittings, rated for tubes between 4 and 65W. The article code BS-2 4-65W marks its working range, so it suits the common single-tube fluorescent battens and fittings that use a separate starter to strike the lamp. It works with a magnetic (switch-start) ballast and is fitted by pushing it into the starter holder and turning a quarter to lock.

The plastic body measures Ø20.5 x 39 mm in white, matching the standard starter format found on most fluorescent fittings. It is a passive part that helps preheat and ignite the tube, and it is replaced rather than repaired when a tube is slow to strike or flickers on start-up. We also stock LED tubes and LED batten fittings if you are moving away from fluorescent altogether.
