Description

The Flatron is an LED flush ceiling light in matt black, with a pair of slim, rounded light bars set offset across a round ceiling base. The body is aluminium and steel, and the fitting measures 80cm long, 15cm wide and only 5.8cm high, so it keeps close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low. The LEDs give 1,250lm, a good output for a main ceiling light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and outdoor walls.

We see it working well in a living room, a bedroom, a home office or a hallway, anywhere dry where the same light has to cover several moods. Because it is a smart light, you run it from an app: dim it right down for a film night, set the colour temperature warmer for a relaxed evening or cooler for reading and desk work, and switch to coloured RGB light when the mood calls for something livelier. The long, offset bars throw light in lines rather than from a single point, which gives a clean, graphic look in a modern interior.

There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, and the app then handles dimming, colour temperature and colour. It also works with a remote control, sold separately, if you would rather have something in your hand. It weighs 1.25KG packed, and the matt black finish keeps reflections low against the ceiling. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download.

Does it come with a remote control?

No remote is included. It is controlled by app, and it also works with a remote control, which is sold separately.
