Description
The Knightsbridge Flat Plate 2-gang grid faceplate is an 87.5mm square brushed chrome cover designed to house two standard grid modules (sold separately). The faceplate sits just 3.5mm proud of the wall once installed, making it one of the lowest-profile finishes available in the Knightsbridge modular grid system.
Grid faceplates allow you to configure bespoke switch and socket layouts by selecting individual modules (light switches, dimmers, sockets, data ports, satellite terminals) and mounting them behind a single unified cover. This 2-gang faceplate accepts two modules side-by-side and pairs with the GDF001F sub-frame (sold separately), which fixes to the back box and holds the modules in place. The system is designed for residential, commercial and hospitality installations where a tailored combination of functions is needed in a single wall plate.
The brushed chrome finish is applied to premium-grade steel with a directional grain that diffuses reflections under both natural and artificial light. The finish coordinates with the wider Flat Plate range of switches and sockets from Knightsbridge, allowing matching plates across an entire property. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry internal areas only — the faceplate is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations.

Frequently Asked
What modules does this faceplate accept?
The faceplate accepts two standard Knightsbridge Flat Plate grid modules side-by-side. Modules include light switches, dimmer modules, sockets, TV/satellite terminals, USB outlets, RJ45 data ports and blanking plates. Each module is sold separately.
What else is needed for installation?
You need one GDF001F sub-frame (sold separately), which fixes to the back box and holds the grid modules. The faceplate then clips onto the sub-frame once the modules are in place.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the faceplate is suitable for dry internal areas only and must not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, outdoor locations or any area exposed to moisture.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces the Flat Plate grid system in a range of finishes including polished chrome, matt black, white, brushed brass and stainless steel. Search for 'Knightsbridge Flat Plate Grid' to see other finishes in stock at Niori.
