Flarborne Floor Lamp - Black

The Flarborne is a tall floor lamp with a slim black steel stem that rises from a round base and curves over at the top into a short arm. From that arm hangs a wide, wavy woven paper shade in a natural tone, open underneath so the bulb sits exposed beneath its broad brim. The lamp stands 160cm tall, measures 56cm wide and 48cm long, and its base is 23cm across, so it needs only a small patch of floor. It takes an E27 bulb, which is not included, and carries an IP20 rating, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

Because the arm reaches out beyond the base, the shade can hang beside a sofa or armchair without the stem getting in the way, which makes it a natural choice for a reading corner in a living room. The woven shade and black frame suit a calm, earthy scheme alongside linen, pale wood and natural textures, and the lamp would sit as comfortably in a bedroom or a quiet study.
