Our Flanvorne is a slim black LED bar pendant light, 122cm long and just 5.5cm wide, hung on two fine wires from a matching rectangular ceiling canopy. The body is aluminium and steel in a black finish, and a white plastic diffuser runs the length of the underside, so the integrated LEDs show as one clean, unbroken line of light. At 35W it puts out 3,960 lumens, enough to give a long dining table or kitchen island plenty of light. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for indoors, in a dry room.

It suits a dining room, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, anywhere a long table wants light along its whole length. This is a smart light controlled by app, so you can dim it, move the white from a warm 2700K to a crisp, cool 6500K, or turn to colour-changing RGB when friends come round for the evening. Warm white suits a relaxed supper, while cooler white helps when you are cooking, reading or working at the table. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately and not included. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is switched at the wall.

The aluminium and steel body is long and slender, and the black finish draws a clean, graphic line across the room. As a mains pendant, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to buy or change. Its energy class is F, and it weighs 2.57KG packed.
