The Firvette is a compact outdoor wall light: a single fluted cylinder held out from a round backplate, with fine vertical ribs running the full height of the body. The body is aluminium in a rust-coloured finish, a warm reddish brown, and the light passes through a clear glass shade. It stands 12cm high and 6cm long, and projects 11cm from the wall, so it reads as a neat accent rather than a bulky lantern. It takes one GU10 bulb of up to 28W, and the bulb is not included. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, so it can live outdoors on a house wall.

Put one either side of a front door, beside a back door or along a garden wall, and the even ribbing gives plain brickwork some texture by day as well as light after dark. The earthy rust tone suits brick, weathered timber and stone, and sits well on a cottage porch or a modern extension alike.
