Description

Our Firework LED Decoration is a starburst of fine black steel wires, each one tipped with small integrated LEDs under clear plastic covers, so it hangs like a firework caught at the very moment it bursts. It measures 26cm high and 26cm across and weighs just 0.04KG, light enough to hang from a small hook or a curtain pole without any fuss. As the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to buy or change. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, somewhere dry, away from steamy rooms and the garden.

Because it runs on batteries rather than a plug, it goes wherever you fancy a little sparkle, with no need for a socket nearby. We like it in a window, over a mantelpiece, in a bedroom corner or inside a den or reading nook, and several hung together make a fuller cluster of light. Against a darker wall the slim black wires all but disappear, leaving the points of light to do the talking. As a Christmas decoration it brings a festive glow to a room, yet it is quiet enough to stay up long after the tree has gone.

The frame is steel with a black finish, and each LED sits under clear plastic. It takes three AA alkaline batteries of 1500mAh, for an operating voltage of 4.5V DC. It has an on/off switch and a timer feature, so you can keep it glowing when you want it and spare the batteries when you do not. For care, dust the wires gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it well clear of water. Between uses, store it somewhere the wires will not be crushed, and it will be ready to hang again next winter.
