Firbora is a single pendant light with an oval shade of smoked glass hanging from a slim black cord. The body is black steel, from the ceiling canopy to the slender holder above the shade, and the glass reads as a see-through charcoal grey that deepens at the curved edges. The shade is 18cm across, and from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass the light measures 110cm overall. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, which is not included, so the choice of bulb is yours. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Hung on its own, Firbora gives a reading chair or a side table a soft glow and a shape worth a second look even when the bulb is not lit. The compact shade suits smaller spaces such as a hallway, a landing or a bedroom, while a pair or a row over a dining table or breakfast bar keeps the look light rather than heavy. Can I hang the Firbora pendant in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for indoor, dry rooms, so we would keep it away from bathrooms and anywhere damp.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes a standard E27 bulb of up to 40W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose one that suits the room.
