Description
Finestra Flutes Rect. is a wall mirror 120cm high by 80cm wide in a slim black metal frame, divided into four panes by a thin black cross. Two of the panes are fluted glass and two are left plain, so the reflection breaks into vertical ribs across half the surface and runs clear across the other half. Finestra is Italian for window, and the division is doing what a window bar does. The design is by Esther Everaert.
It suits a hallway, a living room or a bedroom wall where a plain mirror would be too quiet. It hangs in four directions, and each rotation moves the fluted panes to a different corner, which changes the piece far more than turning a plain mirror does. It is not rated for bathroom use, so keep it to dry rooms. At 13kg and 2cm deep it is a one person lift that sits close to the wall, with two screws, washers and plugs supplied and nothing to assemble. The same design is made as a full length mirror.
The mirror is mirrored glass and textured glass in a black metal frame. Clean it with cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth, working along the flutes rather than across them so the ribs are not left streaked. The ribbing is in the glass itself rather than a screen laid over it, so it will not lift or peel, and the fluted panes throw light in bands while the plain ones reflect straight. Seven year warranty, made in Belgium.

Frequently Asked
Is the ribbing in the glass or on it?
In the glass. The fluted panes are textured glass, so nothing can lift or peel.
How many panes are fluted?
Two of the four. The other two are plain mirror, so half the surface reflects straight.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. This mirror is not rated for bathroom use, so keep it to dry rooms.
Which way up does it hang?
Any of four. Each rotation moves the fluted panes to a different corner.
Is a bigger one made?
Yes, the same design as a full length mirror.
