Description
The Fia is a dining table with a mango wood top on two iron legs, 180cm long, 90cm deep and 76cm to the surface. The top is a thick slab whose long edges are left as the tree gave them, so the sides wander rather than running straight, and the grain and the darker heart of the wood show through the finish. The legs are black iron, each bent into a U and set in from the end of the top, with about 124cm between the two.
The Fia tables are made to seat six. With the legs 124cm apart and set well in from the ends, chairs go anywhere along the sides and one can sit at each end without a leg in the way, and a bench pushes underneath for the same reason. At 90cm deep there is room to lay places on both sides and keep the middle clear for serving. A matching bench goes along one side, stools on the other and a chair at the end.
The top is mango wood and the base is iron. Mango is grown first for its fruit and cut for timber only once the trees stop bearing, which lets the grower replant and take a second income from the same land. The wood is sealed with a water-based sealant. The Fia range also runs to a larger 220cm dining table, two benches and a desk. Chairs are not included.

Frequently Asked
How many does it seat?
Six.
How far apart are the legs?
About 124cm, and they are set in from the ends, so a bench will push under and a chair will go at each end.
What size is the larger one?
220cm long, against 180cm on this one. Both are 90cm deep and 76cm tall.
Is there a matching bench?
Yes, in two sizes. There is a Fia desk as well.
What is mango wood?
A hardwood from the mango tree. The trees are grown for fruit first and cut for timber only once they stop bearing.
How do I look after it?
The top is sealed with a water-based sealant. Wipe spills up straight away so they do not mark the wood.
