Description

The Fia is a 590mm round flush ceiling light with six G4 halogen bulbs set among curved polished chrome arms and approximately sixty cut-glass crystal spheres. The 120mm projection from ceiling to base suits rooms with low ceilings (2.2-2.5m) where a pendant would hang too low. The six halogen bulbs are included, each rated at 20W, giving a combined 120W output.

Designed for bedrooms, lounges and hallways where both ambient light and decorative interest are needed without losing ceiling height, the Fia mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose. The polished chrome reflects both daylight and artificial light, amplifying brightness during the day and creating sparkle from the crystal spheres when the bulbs are lit in the evening. The circular form centres well over beds, dining tables and in square entrance halls.

Each crystal sphere is individually positioned on the chrome arms, creating multiple points of refraction as light passes through the glass. The arms curve outward from the central chrome backplate, distributing the six bulbs evenly across the 590mm diameter so the light spreads without creating a single bright centre point. The combined weight of chrome and crystal gives the fitting a 6.5kg mass, requiring secure ceiling fixings — most plasterboard ceilings need cavity anchors rather than standard screws.

The Fia is not dimmable and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 bulbs — it requires halogen G4 capsules only. The bulbs run warm during operation, so the fitting should not be installed in enclosed spaces without ventilation or where it might be in direct contact with insulation in the ceiling void.

Yes. The 120mm projection from ceiling to base makes it a good choice for rooms with 2.2-2.5m ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low or feel oppressive.

Can I use LED G4 bulbs instead of halogen?

No. The Fia is designed for halogen G4 capsules only and is not compatible with LED or CFL versions. Using non-halogen bulbs may cause flickering, early bulb failure, or damage to the fixture.

Is it dimmable?

No. The Fia does not support dimmer switches and must be used with a standard on/off switch only.

What fixings are needed for installation?

The 6.5kg weight requires secure ceiling fixings. On plasterboard ceilings, use spring-toggle or metal cavity anchors rather than standard plastic plugs. On solid ceilings, use appropriate masonry fixings rated for the weight.
