Fasvette Lamp Post - Black

The Fasvette is a traditional three-headed lamp post in black: a slim column standing 192cm tall, topped by three six-sided lanterns held on scrolled arms, and set on a hexagonal base. The body is cast aluminium and each lantern has clear glass panels, so the light shows through on every side. The lantern heads measure 55cm in diameter and the base is 26cm in diameter. Each lantern takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W, and the bulbs are not included, so you can choose your own. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water and is made to stand outdoors in the garden.

At 192cm, the post lifts the light well clear of the ground, and the three heads spread it widely, which suits a garden path, the edge of a lawn, the side of a driveway or a front garden by the door. The lantern shape and curled brackets have an old-fashioned charm, so it sits comfortably beside a period house, a cottage garden or a brick-paved walk. Guests arriving after dark can see where they are walking, and the garden keeps a welcoming glow through the evening rather than disappearing once the sun sets.

Cast aluminium does not rust, which matters for a fitting that stands outside in every season, and the black finish keeps the classic lantern look crisp against hedges, lawn and brick. The clear glass panels show off the bulb, so a decorative filament bulb is a good match if you want each lantern to glow like an old gas lamp. There is no switch on the post itself: it is switched at the wall. It is a wired mains fitting running at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, so it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the packed weight is 6.24KG, worth knowing before you carry the box into the garden.
