The Fandina is an LED outdoor wall light in black, built as a tall panel of raised vertical ribs with two white light bars set between them, one high on the left and one low on the right. It measures 14.5cm wide and 41.5cm high, and sits just 5.5cm proud of the wall, so it reads as part of the house front rather than a lantern hanging off it. The LEDs are integrated, giving two lights of 500lm each at 3000K, a warm white glow. It is rated IP55, which means it is protected against dust and jets of water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall through wind and rain.

Its slim, upright shape suits the places where a tall, narrow light makes sense: beside a front door, along a run of outdoor steps, flanking a garage door or on a garden wall. A pair either side of an entrance gives a balanced, architectural look, and the offset bars place light at two heights. Because it projects so little, it does not jut far into a narrow path or stairway. It suits anyone with a modern or minimal exterior who wants clean lines in place of a traditional lantern.

The body is zinc-plated steel in black, and zinc plating helps protect steel against rust, while the shades over the two light bars are white plastic. The LEDs are integrated and not replaceable, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It has no switch of its own and is switched at the wall, and as it is not dimmable, a standard switch suits it rather than a dimmer. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, carries energy class E and weighs 1.097KG packed. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
