Description

The Fabio is a 400mm crystal wall light with two G9 bulb fittings set behind a double layer of octagon-cut Asfour crystal droplets, mounted on a polished chrome rectangular backplate. An integrated rocker switch on the chrome frame allows the light to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch, making it practical for bedside positions, reading corners beside sofas, and hallway zones where local control is needed.

Designed for residential bedrooms, living rooms and hallways, the Fabio provides both task and ambient light depending on bulb choice. The 170mm projection from the wall gives enough clearance for the crystal to cascade without the fitting protruding too far into the room, while the 180mm height keeps the light output at a comfortable eye level when seated or standing. The chrome backplate and crystal curtain span 400mm horizontally, covering enough wall width to anchor the fitting visually without dominating smaller rooms.

Each Asfour crystal octagon is precision-cut to refract light through multiple facets, throwing patterns of reflected light onto adjacent walls and ceilings when the bulbs are lit. The polished chrome finish on the frame provides high reflectivity, amplifying the light output from the two G9 bulbs and giving the fitting a crisp, mirror-like appearance under daylight. The crystal is strung in two overlapping layers, creating depth when viewed from the side and reducing gaps where the backplate might show through from certain angles.

The integrated switch removes the need to wire the fitting into a switched circuit, allowing it to be installed on unswitched spur circuits or permanent live feeds and controlled locally at the fitting itself. This is particularly useful in period properties where adding new wall switches would disrupt existing plaster, or in modern installations where smart home systems handle other lighting but local manual override is still wanted.

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but the integrated on/off switch on the chrome frame must remain in the 'on' position for a wall dimmer to control brightness. If using the integrated switch alone, choose non-dimmable bulbs.

Does the switch mean it can be wired to an unswitched circuit?

Yes. The integrated rocker switch allows the Fabio to be installed on a permanent live feed or unswitched spur circuit and controlled locally at the fitting. This is useful where adding a wall switch would be impractical or where the fitting is being added to an existing room without rewiring.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully. Remove dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth or a feather duster. For fingerprints or more stubborn marks, dampen the cloth very slightly with distilled water and wipe each crystal individually, then dry immediately with a second dry cloth to prevent water spots.
