Description

The Eveready 7.3W LED candle bulb uses a B22 bayonet cap and delivers 806 lumens of 6500K daylight white light. The 40mm diameter candle shape suits standard table lamps, wall lights, and ceiling fittings where the bulb is partially or fully visible. At 7.3W consumption, the bulb provides equivalent light output to a traditional 60W incandescent while drawing significantly less power.

Daylight white at 6500K produces a crisp, blue-toned light that works well in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, and workspaces where clarity and contrast are needed for tasks. The 280-degree beam angle provides wide dispersion, so the light spreads evenly across a room rather than focusing on a narrow spot. The bulb runs on standard 220-240V mains and is rated for up to 10,000 hours of use, reducing replacement frequency compared to traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs.

The non-dimmable design means the bulb operates at full brightness when switched on and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The 110mm overall height and 40mm diameter fit most candle-style lampholders without obstruction. The bulb is mercury-free and carries an Energy Rating of E under current UK energy labelling standards.

Frequently Asked

Is this bulb dimmable?

No. The bulb is non-dimmable and must not be used with dimmer switches. Fitting it to a dimmer circuit will result in flickering, reduced lifespan, or bulb failure.

What colour temperature is 6500K?

6500K is classified as daylight white, producing a crisp, blue-toned light similar to midday outdoor light. This is cooler than warm white (2700K-3000K) and suits task lighting in kitchens, bathrooms, and workspaces rather than relaxation areas.

What does 806 lumens compare to in incandescent bulbs?

806 lumens is approximately equivalent to a traditional 60W incandescent bulb. The LED version produces the same light output while consuming only 7.3W of power.

What is the expected lifespan?

Eveready rates this bulb at up to 10,000 hours of use. At an average usage of 3 hours per day, that equates to approximately 9 years before replacement is needed.
