Description
The Eveready 4W LED candle bulb is a filament-style LED with a B22 bayonet base, delivering 470 lumens of warm white light at 2700K. The visible LED filaments behind a clear glass envelope replicate the appearance of traditional incandescent candle bulbs while drawing just 4W of power — equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb in light output.
Designed for fittings where the bulb is visible — chandeliers, wall sconces, pendant lights with open shades, and vintage-inspired table lamps — the clear filament construction adds decorative value as well as functional light. The B22 bayonet cap fits standard UK ceiling and wall light fittings, and the 38mm diameter by 98mm height candle shape suits most traditional decorative fixtures. The 280-degree beam angle spreads light evenly across a room rather than directing it in a narrow spot.
Each bulb is rated for approximately 10,000 hours of use at typical residential switching patterns, which translates to around 10 years if run for 3 hours per day. The mercury-free LED construction means the bulbs can be disposed of with general waste rather than requiring specialist recycling. This twin pack provides two bulbs for symmetrical fittings or spares for multi-bulb chandeliers.
The bulbs are non-dimmable and should not be paired with dimmer switches — attempting to dim a non-dimmable LED can cause flicker, premature failure, or damage to the dimmer circuit. For dimmable equivalents, see the Eveready dimmable candle range or contact us for alternatives.

Frequently Asked
Can these bulbs be used with a dimmer switch?
No. These are non-dimmable LED bulbs and must not be fitted to circuits controlled by dimmer switches. Using a non-dimmable bulb with a dimmer will cause flicker, buzzing, or early failure. For dimmable candle bulbs, see the Eveready dimmable range.
What is the equivalent incandescent wattage?
At 470 lumens, this 4W LED candle bulb produces approximately the same light output as a traditional 40W incandescent candle bulb, while using 90% less energy.
How long do these bulbs last?
Rated for approximately 10,000 hours of use. At 3 hours per day, this equates to around 10 years of typical residential use before the bulb needs replacing.
What is the colour of the light?
2700K warm white — the same colour temperature as traditional incandescent bulbs. The light has a soft yellowish tone rather than the cooler blue-white of daylight LEDs.
