This is a B22 bayonet LED candle bulb with a clear glass envelope and four filament strips running its length. It draws 4W and gives 470 lumens at 2,700K, and the retail pack rates it as the equal of a 40W conventional candle bulb. B22 is the bayonet cap: two small pins on the side of the metal base that you push in and twist a quarter turn to lock. If the bulb you are taking out has pins rather than a screw thread, this is the cap you need. It is supplied in a box of two.

How do I know if my fitting takes B22?

Look at the base of the old bulb. A B22 cap is metal with two pins sticking out of the sides, and it pushes in and twists a quarter turn. A cap with a spiral thread is a screw fitting and will not take this bulb.

How bright is 4W in practice?

Can I put it on a dimmer switch?

Will the filaments show in my shade?
