B15 LED Filament Candle Bulb 4W 470lm - Warm White 2700K, 2 Pack

This is a small bayonet candle bulb built with LED filaments rather than a diffused plastic body. Four slim filament strips run the length of the clear glass, so it reads as a traditional candle lamp both lit and unlit. It draws 4W and gives 470 lumens at 2,700K, which the pack rates as the equal of a 40W conventional candle. The cap is B15, the smaller of the two bayonet fittings and often written SBC, so it pushes in and twists a quarter turn rather than screwing home.

How do I know if my light fitting takes a B15 cap?

Take the old bulb out and look at the base. A B15 has two small locating pins on a metal barrel roughly 15mm across, so it pushes and twists rather than screwing in. The larger 22mm bayonet is a B22 and will not fit.

Can I use it with a dimmer switch?

No. The specification gives this lamp as non-dimmable, so it needs a standard on/off switch. Run on a dimmer circuit it may flicker, hum or fail well before the 10 year lamp life the pack prints.
